As a part of Southface’s Grants to Green program, the Atlanta history center was awarded funding that supported a building assessment and energy and water efficiency upgrades. The history center used grant funding to upgrade their chilled water plant and took advantage of the cooling tower water sewage abatement credit provided by the city.
They have also installed led lighting throughout the campus. Along with implementation of energy efficiency measures, the organization has also adjusted their policies and practices to become more cognizant of the need to conserve energy and water.
Jackson Mcquigg and the whole AHC staff have been instrumental during the data-reporting period. Without their help, support, and participation, the ABBC would not be what it is today.
